Life in C.D.C Empty

SUMMARY:
The College Disease Campus was founded almost a decade before the first outbreak, as close as anyone can tell. It's a hi-tech, towering facility dedicated to researching and curing various diseases. When it was built, the facility was completely isolated from the rest of the world and existed almost entirely in secret. Due to the delicate and often-dangerous research carried out within its walls, the only means of escorting the researchers to or from the Campus was by air or by sea.

After the outbreak, the Marines *otherly known as The Red Halos* turned the abandoned facility into a haven for researchers, doctors, and scientists alike to continue their research and discover a cure, while providing refuge and care for the people who survived the horror of the 'un-dead invasion'.

C.D.C has very few vehicles at their disposal, including one ship, two helicopters, and a few assorted land based vehicles. Parts and fuel are rather hard to come by, so they cannot take frequent trips with these vehicles and they are mostly used in emergencies only. Of the helicopters, one is a reclaimed Blackhawk and the other is a small news chopper that has only been recently discovered. The Albatross is the one ship C.D.C operates and was with the island when they arrived. It is used instead of the helicopters to dispatch troops to the mainland, mainly because they can load most of the land vehicles into the cargo area if needed to assist the Zombie Hunters if they need hauling or emergency ground support.
